Sensei Robert House started studying Aikido in 1985
He spent 7 years (from 1990 to 1997) studying at the Aikikai World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
In Japan he became a student of Endo Seishiro Shihan and has since traveled to many countries like Germany, Austria, Japan and to different locations in the USA to participate in Endo Sensei’s seminars.
He also studied with the late Yamaguchi Shihan (9th degree black belt) during Shihan’s final 6 years from 1990 to 1996.
Jody Thompson started with Aikido Schools of North Georgia in 2002
Jody came to Aikido Schools of North Georgia in 2002 as one of the first adult students to join. Since then Jody has received Shodan (black belt) in Aikido, Aiki-ken (Sword) and Aiki-jo (Staff) and assisted in Aikido instruction in both the adult and kids classes. Thompson is a Senior Police Officer with Athens-Clarke County Police where he has utilized his training in Aikido in a practical, real world application. As an officer in Athens, Jody has been recognized as Employee of the Quarter and received the Life Saver Award twice.
Jack first came to Aikido Schools of North Georgia to participate in our seminar with Endo Sensei in 2007. Jack came on board as an instructor in 2011. He has been teaching Children and adults for over 20 years, and has taught in Europe as well as the US. His background includes studying 4 distinct styles of Aikido, Aiki-Jitsu, as well as Karate and Tae Kwon Do. He has also taught Self Defense for Women, as well as other Self Defense classes.
